G2i vs SuperAnnotate: which pays more for company data?

Verdict

Pick G2i if you have one well-used app with a year or more of history and want a single snapshot reviewed under evaluation terms, with deletion if there is no deal. Pick SuperAnnotate if you want to approve each buyer, block competitors and be paid again on each relicense. G2i does not publish payment timing and SuperAnnotate does not publish timelines, so ask both before sharing a sample.

How do G2i and SuperAnnotate differ in what they buy?

Both license de-identified operating records and accept small companies. G2i is built around the apps you already use: Outlook, Gmail, Drive, SharePoint, Slack, Teams, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, NetSuite, Shopify, Stripe and more. It says one app with a year or more of real activity is enough to start, and that records from several apps are worth more when they refer to the same customers, people and projects (G2i data partnerships page, October 2026).

SuperAnnotate leans toward field-specific records that are hard to source elsewhere: inspection reports, equipment logs, claims files, incident reviews, runbooks and screen recordings of long multi-step tasks. It takes any size, any industry, anywhere, as long as you have records built up over time and the rights to license them (SuperAnnotate data partnerships page, October 2026).

How is the price set?

G2i reviews a sample under signed evaluation terms, then makes an offer if the data fits. If it does not, G2i deletes what it collected. SuperAnnotate reviews a sample for volume, quality and uniqueness, then gives a written valuation priced on rarity, depth and exclusivity. Both publish ranges that start at $100K. G2i's tops out at $2M; SuperAnnotate's is open-ended above $1M. Neither publishes completed deals, so the ranges alone do not show which pays more. See how much company data is worth.

When do you get paid, and on what terms?

SuperAnnotate pays on delivery and again on each relicense. You license rights for a set period rather than selling the data, you approve every buyer and can block competitors permanently, and data is deleted after an agreed retention period. It lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA, and you set the de-identification standard.

G2i does not publish payment timing or a typical timeline. It removes names and the company's identity before use, has you approve the prepared dataset, and keeps no standing connection to your systems: it pulls one snapshot. Its referral terms are described as planned and not final.

Neither program page states a fee to the company.

Which one suits your company?

G2i suits smaller companies with one well-used app and at least a year of history, and owners who want a sample-first process with a clear exit if there is no deal. SuperAnnotate suits companies of any size with rare, field-specific records, owners who want control over who licenses the data, and those open to repeat income from relicensing.

What should you ask both?

  • When is the first payment made after delivery, and how is it calculated?
  • Is the license exclusive, and for how long?
  • SuperAnnotate: how many relicenses can I expect, and how is each one priced?
  • G2i: which AI companies will receive the dataset, and for how long?
  • What happens to my data at the end of the license?
