micro1 vs Mercor: which pays more for company data?

Verdict

Pick Mercor if your company type is on its published list and you want a fee-free process that pays on delivery, typically 2 to 4 weeks after signing. Pick micro1 if you have 30 or more full-time staff and years of documented workflows, since its published tiers start at $100K and go past $2M. If you qualify for both, apply to both and compare written offers.

How do micro1 and Mercor differ in what they buy?

Both license the everyday record of how a company works and pass a de-identified version to AI labs. The difference is how they pick companies. Mercor publishes listings by company type, such as law firms, accounting firms, manufacturers, game studios and software companies, each with its own size band (Mercor referral portal, October 2026). micro1 sets one bar instead: 30 or more full-time employees, mature operations, records mostly in English, with US companies first (micro1 data partnerships page, October 2026).

Mercor connects to your accounts and extracts data with an automated pipeline from 100+ supported tools, and says more tools means a higher payout. micro1 focuses on SOPs, CRM history, tickets and internal communications, and also offers to license agent task trajectories.

How is the price set?

Mercor says pay depends on data volume, the tools connected and the depth of the data. Its ranges are wide inside each listing, so your company type tells you the band, not your number. micro1 tailors an offer after discovery. Its own pages give three entry figures (a $100K first tier, a $200K headline and a $150K typical low end), and its payout estimator is labeled an indicative estimate only. On published ranges alone, micro1's tiers go higher ($2M+) than Mercor's top listing ($1.5M).

Each has also published how much it has paid out. Mercor's referral portal says $50M+ to companies; micro1's CEO posted in September 2026 that it had paid $5.8M to 9 businesses in one 24-hour period. Both are the companies' own figures, and they cover different time spans. For context on market prices, see how much company data is worth.

When do you get paid, and on what terms?

Mercor wires payment when the anonymized dataset is delivered to the buyer and says it charges no fees, covering extraction, anonymization and transfer itself. micro1 has 30 days to review and approve the data, then pays within 30 days of your invoice, so the gap from transfer to cash can run longer. micro1 does not publish a fee policy on its program page.

micro1's published master terms grant a non-exclusive, perpetual license and require deletion within 120 days of final delivery. Mercor does not publish whether its license is exclusive. micro1 says data is licensed only to labs and enterprises in the US and allied countries.

Which one suits your company?

Mercor suits companies in a listed type that can connect several tools and want a short path to payment. Its law firm listing starts at 5 attorneys and staff, so it can fit smaller firms. micro1 suits established companies with several years of records across many systems, especially in the US, UK and Canada.

What should you ask both?

  • Is the license exclusive, for how long, and which labs receive the data?
  • What access do you need to my systems, and how is it revoked afterwards?
  • What happens if delivery is delayed or the dataset is rejected?
  • Is anything deducted from the payment?
  • How long is the raw data kept before it is deleted?
